Born as Jeffrey Dale Carpenter and raised in Baker City, Oregon, Jeff had a great childhood growing up in a conservative family of 4 rambunctious boys. After graduating high school in 1981, Jeff attended National Broadcasting School, where he began his career in radio.

Many have asked, "Who is Dale Jeffries?"  While working at several radio stations at the same time,  Jeff had to create a stage name, so he swapped his first and middle name and added a few extra letters to make it interesting. He was also known as "Chuck Roast."

Jeff volunteers regularly and has emceed many local events. Nine years ago he started the annual Mud Volleyball Tournament that has brought in approximately $30,000 to the food bank and $20,000 for the Boys and Girls Club. You may have recognized him as the villaian "Royal Payne" in this year's Onionskins Melladrama.

His family attends and enjoys being a part of the congregation at Christian Life Fellowship. He was even found to be the auctioneer at the youth fundraiser last week, raising over $100 for a cake! Community minded, Jeff has a passion for people and loves to help whenever he can.
